Welcome to my Online Library & Info. Science Portfolio!

I received my Masters degree in Library and Information Science and a school library media specialist certificate from Dominican University in August 2009.  I received my B.A. in English and minors in Secondary Education and Speech from University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign

I have been teaching high school English for seven years.  Currently, I teach regular and Honors Introduction to Literature, Composition, and Oral Communication, British Literature Survey, and English Composition at Wheeling High School.  (However, I have also taught Expository Writing II, regular and preparatory World Literature and Composition, 9th grade Reading, and Practical Writing.)  Prior to WHS, I taught in CPS, was a teacher for the Center for Talent Development Program at Northwestern University, and a T.A. for a journalism class at U. of I.

I developed this web site for LIS 724: Media Services and Production, and I am planning to use it as an online portfolio of all of my LIS work, so prospective employers and students can learn more about me and my work.
